FEBRUARY STEM HAPPENINGS
8th Grade - We continue to work on our Forensics Unit. Soon we will be engaged in the "Pringles Challenge." Each student will be given 1 Pringles potato chip. The students will have to build a postal mailer for their potato chip that will allow the chip to arrive back at school unscathed. Fun right?
7th Grade - We have begun working on a Rollercoaster project. Students are asked to investigate and answer questions about their chosen rollercoaster. This investigation will lead up to the students working in groups to create their own paper rollercoaster. These projects will be displayed at the Science Symposium.
6th Grade - We are working on a paper helicopter challenge. This will lead up to our Edible Car Challenge. Details will be sent home soon in regards to this challenge.

IMPORTANT - Please Read Parents and Students of 6th, 7th and 8th Grades,
I have been very generous this marking period by not giving zeros for missing work. I rarely assign homework but any classwork that is not completed must be finished. I encourage students to come in at recess or stay after school to complete these assignments.
THIS IS THE WAY REQUIRED WORK WILL BE GRADED.
Assignment handed in on-time = full credit.
Assignment handed in the week it was due but not the day it was due. = Late and 10% deduction.
Assignment handed in after the week it is due = 50 %
Assignment not handed in at all = 0
